Motor Fuel Tax Rate

Effective July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026

The Illinois Department of Revenue will increase the Illinois Motor Fuel Tax rates as follows.

Diesel             $.558 per gallon      from      $.545 per gallon

Gasoline        $.483 per gallon      from      $.470 per gallon
