Motor Fuel Tax Rate

Effective July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025

The Illinois Department of Revenue will increase the Illinois Motor Fuel Tax rates as follows:

Diesel             $.545 per gallon      from      $.529 per gallon

Gasoline        $.470 per gallon      from      $.454 per gallon
